Kali Kunnan Shangrila Team 45 Test 423, slim, light and powerful long range surf rod.
The three section blank is made from cutting edge HM 45 degree nano carbon which incorporates carbon microfibres into the resin and impregnates the carbon fibre blank. This results in a lighter and more resistant structure, which allows the Kali Kunnan Shangrila Team 45 Test 423 to be incredibly thin, 21mm at the butt yet with extreme power and performance.
The ‘Test’ model features a super sensitive spliced tip which allows you to detect the finest of bites, even when fishing at maximum range. The tip has spiralled reflective tape to further aid bite detection both night and day.
The finish of the Kali Kunnan Shangrila Team 45 Test 423 is in keeping with the Hi-Tech blank design and Kali Kunnan have used top end Fuji TZ Torzite guides throughout. The use of single leg guides on the tip helps to reduce weight and enhanced bite detection. The reel seat is a Fuji DPS with additional locking ring to ensure the reel stays firmly in place.
The handle is finished with an ergonomic grip which gives a good grip during the cast allowing you to confidently apply maximum power without fear of the rod twisting in your hands.
By using an extended OTG or wide angled overhead cast the Kali Kunnan Shangrila Team 45 Test 423 loads quickly and is capable of casting a serious distance.
The tip lends itself to spotting those match winning bites but the rod also has more than enough mid and lower end power to comfortably handle bigger fish.
